Research

The Institute exists to promote the study of monetary and financial history within the broader context of economic history. The primary focus of this research will be British, from the seventh century to the present day, but this does not preclude consideration of the Iron Age, Roman and Romano-British economies, while Britain's global role will require an examination of related national and international monetary and financial systems.
